Hi, I'm Andrea.
German born, US based (Resident) Full-Stack Web Developer and IT Professional.
As a Full-Stack Web Developer I have worked with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, SQL, Git / GitHub, Heroku, Amazon S3, Backbone.js and D3.js.
As an IT Professional I have many years of working experience in Application Development, System Administration, User/Customer Support using Microsoft SharePoint and Lotus Notes/Domino.
As a Social Entrepreneurship I founded and owned a fair trade boutique business in the greeting cards and gift items industry in Germany and co-founded an Educational Startup to help improve computer literacy across generations.

Developed Prototype into Live Platform (Beta), including > 1,000 listed classes across 30 different institutions in NYC. With my business partner I founded this company to help share computer knowledge and make technology accessible to others. I set up and managed a partner-network of social institutions, nursing homes and public schools (> members) and developed, organized and implemented over 60 computer literacy training projects for children, teenager and seniors with more than 2,000 students enrolled.

For the Technical Administration Department I established a Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure to improve collaboration and sharing of information, I developed a hardware and software ordering system and provided technical in-house user support. I also was solely responsible for the redesign and refactoring of Lufthansa Systems' HR database (Lotus Notes/Domino) and augmented data flow that effectively reduced the time spent inputting data relating to the company's job applicants by 50%. From July 2010 until December 2013 I continued to work with Lufthansa Systems as a consultant. My freelance work included maintenance of their corporate HR database, implementing functionality with Microsoft SharePoint to provide collaboration within and amongst departments, extending the software and hardware ordering systems features.
